E-ZO

I'm high on bikes these days.

Road.
Mountain.
Recumbent.
Cruiser.
Fixed gear. Especially, my fixed gear.

My legs...not so much. They threaten me with polio every morning.

Living in Oklahoma, the pancake state, I've always considered it to be relatively flat. That was until the fixed gear came into the fold. Then Oklahoma became wildly un-flat. My knees like to bring this to my attention every block or so. I argue the fact that at least the bike has brakes. They often fire back with, "Oh yeah, then what's with all of the skidding?" Fucking knees. So mouthy.

A Return to the Blog

I originally intended for this blog to cover my most recent RTW trip, which after being home for over a year, I saw no need to update it. But truth be told, I've hit the road several times since. Why I haven't updated this blog is beyond me. You'd think I'd post something about getting bitten by a dog in Central America and spending 3 very sleepless nights wondering if I needed the remaining 2 shots of the 5 shot rabies vaccine. Fortunately, I didn't. But it's a classic story of anxiety chock full of howler monkey screams and treacherously muddy hiking excursions in and out of the rainforest looking for the Guaymi. Which we found. So, with all that being said and several new trips planned on the horizon, I'm resurrecting the Jitney Express. More to come.

A Little Updating

I'm lazy. I think it is all of the free food and laundry service here at my parent's house. I've realized I haven't done such a bang up job maintaining this blog. Since the travels are over until June not sure what to post really. I suppose I could upload some photos but I think I'd rather put together a full-on website with pics, writings and general oddities.

I did think about starting a married bachelor blog but the paperwork is before a judge now so it would just be a bachelor blog. But, given the fact that I'm unemployed and living with my parents and still managing a wildly respectable social life I suppose a blog of such ill repute would have some merits to it.

Family Feud

So, apparently Ajeng and her cousin are warring on my blog here. Check the comments from the last post.

Hey Awo, I'm back in the U.S. and still have your knife. I contacted Ajeng to get her mailing address because I lost it in the melee of travel. I'll send it off tomorrow. Hope all is well in Indonesia.

Viva la Jakarta!

Please Stand Behind the Yellow Line

Sometimes when you find yourself traveling marginally alone you have to hand your camera off to some trustworthy-looking individual so you have at least a couple of pics of yourself along the journey. Fortunately, beautiful women tend not to steal cameras and in this case, the Polish bombshell I handed the Lumix over to just happened to have a good eye for action photos.

Monkey Man and Lion

Gotta lot of pics to post now that I've had a chance to edit. Going to set up another site soon.
